Casting out an old matress must be a dramatic thing to do. You spend eight hours a night on the matress – unless of course, you fall asleep on the couch. You have your first tender moment of love-making on the matress. A matress has also seen those nights when you’ve gone to bed cuddling and those moments when you’ve gone to bed unhappy with each other. A matress knows your memories, knows yoiur dreams, knows when you’re happiest and most vulnerable. I wonder if the couple who discarded this matress has considered this… or were they just anxious for something a little more comfortable. Let’s hope they haven’t replaced with a futon…
